Course Description: AP Biology (Chatfield High School)
Adhering to the curricula recommended by the College Board and designed to parallel college level introductory biology courses, AP Biology stresses basic facts and their synthesis into major biological concepts and themes. This course covers three general areas: molecules and cells, genetics and evolution, and organisms and populations. AP Biology includes college-level laboratory experiments. In addition, there will be field trips, seminars, and guest speakers in the field of Biology. In addition, there will be guest speakers, seminars, and field trips, including a culminating field trip to a cadaver lab.
This course can earn 5 credits in AP Biology at Advanced Placement (AP) Program.
